Tempstar air conditioners range from 13 SEER to 18 SEER.  SEER is the industry rating used to determine an air conditioners efficiency.  The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the air conditioner is.  To determine which air conditioner best suits your needs, there are several questions you may want to consider.  If you plan to be in the same house for several years a higher SEER rating will pay for the additional cost with savings in energy.  If the air conditioner is set by a patio or outside a bedroom window, a more quiet model is worth taking a look at.  If any hot rooms exist in your house, a two-speed air conditioner may be your best option.
